" When gluing to fix delam, put wax paper over the area of the deck after applying the wood glue, and put your wood shims over the wax paper when clamping it to dry. The wax paper will prevent your wood blocks or shims from adhering to the deck itself and causing problems when you go to unclamp everything. "
