If you have not been watching CNN, Tech TV or getting tech news as of late, you need to know about the latest hacker scam concerning eBay. It seems a hacker or group (signs point to China as source) are sending out emails that claim to be from eBay. They tell you to go verify your account via a very convincing looking link in the email. The link goes to a FAKE eBay-esque web page that asks for you Username and Password in order to "verify" your account. The page does look identical to eBay, but is NOT a true eBay page. DO NOT ENTER THAT INFORMATION OR EVEN VISIT THAT LINK!!!! The page actual will capture you account info for use by the hackers. To make matters worse, many users use the same info for their PayPal and other accounts. Please keep in mind that eBay will never send you such an email. If you are at all unsure about an eBay link, go directly to eBay's web site. I suggest manually typing in www.ebay.com (or their similar country domains). For more information, do a search on the web for the latest eBay scams information. AoS just thought some of you folks should know.
