Steve Caballero found AoS via a friend and checked in with an email today. Not only did he want to say "hi" but he also wanted to "show-off" an almost mint Duane Peters' second model deck that he just acquirred for almost nothing!!! Here is the story:


"Hello,
Awesome website at "the art of skateboarding.com" a friend of mine showed it to me because he said I should check it out since I stumbled upon this rare find (see attachment below) last weekend while skating the Redwood city outdoor skatepark in Northern California. I pull up in my car with my daughter Kayla to skate and I see this young 15 year old skater holding this skate board with stage one INDY 169's and Orange 65MM OJ radial juice wheels and was he riding it around the park. I asked him where he got it and he said his dad bought it for him for an Easter present at a garage sale. we'll I offered him some cash and my own complete street board I was riding so he'd have something to ride and he went along to sell the deck to me:) He was stoked because now he had a current street board that I even signed for him at his request and I was stoked because I had a sick collectible for my personal skate deck collection.
I'm super stoked on this find and I wanted to share it with you, you can use the image on your site if you'd like... because the one you have on there doesn't even come close to how "near mint" this Duane Peters 1st issue deck really is:)
