By The Sword Skateboards was a company co-founded by pro skater Mike Vallely and Jason Filipow (designer) after Mike left Element. They put out a Fall catalog, took orders and had boards coming out. However, they have shut down already. According to their web site, "By The Sword Skateboards can no longer continue as it was originally envisioned and therefore, the company has been dissolved." Now, Mike is back on Powell Peralta (?!?!?!). Soooo if you find some By the Sword decks, snatch them up while you can! Another company bites the dust. RIP By the Sword (July 13th-Dec 4th 2010).
