King's Revenge and Getting Ready to Get Down |

Up early!...well, 9:30 am. I was first up. I think during the night someone installed a natural gas refinery...at least it smelled that way. What didn’t come out in clouds of green funk, each of us immediately expelled directly with rotating trips to the bathroom. We used our Sherlock Holmes’ skills to all deduce that it must have been the pizza. Thanks King’s pizza! To top things off, it was steadily raining outside. That put an end to any plans/hope of skating Athens (we later found out this was a good idea since police were cracking down in Athens over the homecoming weekend). Once our many bathroom trips were out of the way, and we were all ready to go, we made our way to the lobby. Everyone else had met at Tim’s house at 10 am and were on the way. It happened that our hotel was a popular spot for many groups: The Ohio Baptist convention, a small college football team and several Ohio State football fans. The lobby was busy! Tim and the gang found us, and Tim volunteered to ride with us while Rob drove the others. Due to the rain, we decided to head towards Ollies Skatepark slightly outside of Cincinnati in Florence, Kentucky. It was an uneventful drive for the most part. The changing colors of the trees were pretty nice to see, but other than that….as Tim said "typical Ohio farm country". One odd thing did occur I suppose….about 30 minutes outside of Columbus, the weather cleared right up. It was turning into a beautiful day. Because of the nice weather, cell phone calls were made between our caravan of cars. It was suggested and decided that we hit Boone skatepark before eating lunch and going to Ollies directly. | ||||||||||||||||||
