Night on the town |

With four parks down for the day, we were all beat. Being old men (ages ranged from 33 to 45), we were tired and sore, and ready to relax. We had some time before dinner, so we grabbed some beers and all chilled in the hot tub. The hot tub was a God send! It was like recharging batteries. Rested up, we all got ready and went out for a good dinner. We had a semi-healthy meal at the Pita Jungle, a primarily vegetarian restaurant. Everyone seemed to get their fill except Kerry who was dismayed that his grilled Portobello burger did not actually come with any burger on it. He argued that calling it a burger was misleading and he would sue if he had the energy. I don’t think it helped that his burger came with a side of sprouts either. (haha) After that, we headed to the Marquee Theater to see the Wolfmother show. Wolfmother just happened to be playing while we were all here, so we figured it would be cool to check out. We have been listening to them a lot while skating at our local park at home. The opening band wasn’t much to talk about. We just hung out in the front area people watching and drinking beer. A couple of us wanted to grab some concert t-shirts, but for $30 each, we passed. Money better spent on more beer. (haha) Around 10:30 or so, Wolfmother went on. They put on an excellent show. Lots of energy. We were all so dead tired though after the long day that we were starting to struggle a bit. We decided to head home during the last song before the encores. As one of our crew put it "OK….I saw them…I get it….I don’t need to see more.". Back to the hotel and off to our rooms. I think I was asleep before my head hit the pillow. |
