The 5th Annual Pat Wachter Bowl Contest |

|
||||||
Beginner/GROM Division |

First up was the little guys. It's always fun to watch the next generation get their start. You can see the determination and focus in their eyes. Best of all, you see the innocent, sheer joy and amazement on their faces as they pull tricks or simply just ride. The contest had a good turnout in this group with about 10-12 skaters entered.
Intermediate Division |

Second for the day was the intermediate group. These are skaters with more advanced tricks, but maybe lacking the lines, power and consistency of the more experienced skaters. I like watching this group because you often see those skaters that are on the brink of moving their skating to the next level. Many will pull a really difficult trick, but it’s a matter of learning to fit that trick into a run or fill out a run with more than just one "oooo-ahhh" kind of trick. These are the ones to watch coming up.
